To provide an underpants type absorbent article which suppresses unintended turn-up of an end on a waist opening side of an elastic sheet provided in a waist part.SOLUTION: An underpants type absorbent article has an absorbent core (11A), a first waist part (20), and a second waist part (30). The first waist part (20) has an elastic sheet (24) extending and contracting in a lateral direction, non-elastic sheets (21, 22), and a fixing part (41) for fixing the elastic sheet (24) to the non-elastic sheets (21, 22). One end of the elastic sheet (24) along the lateral direction is located above the other end.
