PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth cover building capable of solving such a problem that a building utilizes the greening of the housetop or the wall surface without completely using the buffer capacity of soil by the building. SOLUTION: The earth cover building is so constituted that a side wall 104 is constituted of at least double walls to form a hold space between both of them, the soil 200a is held in the hold space between the side walls 104a and 104b and, at the same time, that the outer side wall 104b is formed of a member having water retentivity, permeability and durability. The housetop 103 is formed of a member having water retentivity, permeability and durability, the soil 200b is held on the housetop 103, and it is so constituted that moisture of the soil 200a in the hold space and the soil 200b on the housetop 103 can migrate.
