PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-laying apparatus with which stable covering operation on the ridges of an agricultural sheet can be carried out without time and labor, and also the time and the labor for operation for taking off the agricultural sheet from the ridges are reduced.SOLUTION: The sheet-laying apparatus is structured as follows: mounting a pair of groove-forming means 26 respectively forming locking grooves D along the bottom sides of a ridge U at the right and left outermost edge sides of the ridge U to be covered and mounting a push-in means 28 sequentially pushing an agricultural sheet 16 drawn out to the side of the field surface into the locking grooves D to be locked, at just the back sides of the pair of the groove-forming means 26 respectively, so as to cover the agricultural sheet 16 over the ridge U in accordance with travel in a direction of the ridge U.
