The packaging material includes a body that is compressible and deformable, and a cover that releasably closes the body and defines a chamber with the body for filling the beverage. The packaging material is subjected to high pressure treatment in a liquid under high pressure processing (HPP) so that the immunoglobulin content of the beverage in the packaging material is greater than 10 mg/100 ml within 30 days.
