Device for continuous harvesting of fruit by machine, preferably of table core fruit, especially of apples in hedge-shaped plantations has roller chain consisting of chain tube shells connected with each other in linked fashion
A device for the continuous harvesting of fruit by machine, preferably of table core fruit, especially of apples in hedge-shaped plantations, comprises a self-travelling portal construction straddling the copse which carries on both portal sides conventional roller chains rotating backwards, horizontal in various stages, somewhat inclined outwards depending on path. It forms constantly stage-shaped flexible, apparently standing catch planes declining ahead and behind, synchronous to the forwards movement of the device. The roller chain (11) consists of chain tube shells (19) connected with each other in linked fashion and having a longitudinal guide slot (20). Support bars (25) are located in the chain tube shells which can travel out to the plucking side.
