PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorber which includes a highly absorptive polymer of high absorption performance and yet achieving an excellent wet-time shape retention property to thereby enable an excellent body fluid repetitive absorption property.SOLUTION: The present invention provides an absorber 17, including: a laminated absorbent core 21 which is laminated with a first absorbent core layer 18, an intermediate layer 19, and a second absorbent core layer 20 in this order, with a highly absorptive polymer included therein; and a core-wrap sheet 26. A first core-wrap sheet portion 24 located on one side from a center plane Tc in the thickness direction has a water-absorbent nonwoven fabric containing water-absorbent fibers having a fiber length of 25 mm or more entangled with each other. The absorber 17 has joining portions 29 at which the intermediate layer 19 and the first core-wrap sheet portion 24 are joined. The wet-time elongation of the water-absorbent nonwoven fabric is larger than the dry-time elongation. The wet-time tensile strength is lower than the dry-time tensile strength.
