PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human body characteristic detection device that is excellent in allergic resistance and can realize an electrically stable connection when detecting human body characteristics using an electrode that contacts the human skin. A spring 67 is pressed against a part of a penetration part 63b of an electrode 63, and a joint part 67a is fixed to the penetration part 63b by a frictional force generated by the pressing, so that an input terminal 61a of the substrate 61 and the electrode 63 penetrate. The part 63b is electrically connected. The electrode 63 is obtained by integrally forming a human body contact part 63a and a through part 63b. The electrode 63 is made of stainless steel or titanium. The human body contact part 63a is brought into contact with the skin of the human body and becomes the surface potential of the skin.
