PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing pigment-including silica particles, pigment-including silica particles obtained by the method, and a use of the particles.SOLUTION: The method for producing pigment-including silica particles includes the steps of: (a) preparing pigment-including silica particle precursor particles by atomizing a pigment-dispersed alkali silicate aqueous solution into hot air flow followed by drying (b) immersing the pigment-including silica particle precursor particles in an acid aqueous solution to remove the alkali and (c) drying and heat-treating the resulting particles.
