The present subject matter relates to an apparatus for luring and killing insects in general, comprising a box-like container with partitions and internal compartments for storing insect-luring baits, such as organic waste, water, sugar, inter alia. The lower inner compartment has a perforated bottom to drain rain water and organic material decomposition fluids. The central compartment has an outlet for draining excess water only, and above the outlet the inner wall has a rustic or porous finish, allowing humidity to climb the wall by capillarity and increasing the water evaporation surface. An upper compartment located below the screen serves for storing small baits in a small quantity, so that the baits are more visible for pests and insects. The apparatus has a lid with an electrified screen mesh that electrocutes insects coming into contact with the screen.
