PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mix for fried clothing capable of providing good fired color to clothing even when ingredients with a clothing material are stored at a refrigeration temperature without heat cooking, and capable of manufacturing fried having good texture without no dryingness on the ingredients.SOLUTION: The mix for fried clothing contains alginic acid monovalent metal salt of 0.1 to 5 mass% and a salt of a bivalent metal, the salt of the bivalent metal has solubility to water of 0.1 (g/100 g water) or less at 20°C.
