PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bamboo felling machine facilitating felling of bamboo gregariously growing in a bamboo grove, and enabling a user to easily obtain bamboo chips successively after the felling.SOLUTION: The bamboo felling machine includes a rotary cutting mechanism 140 for felling a bamboo 800. The rotary cutting mechanism 140 rotates in a direction upward from the base of the bamboo 800 to be felled (a direction indicated by an allow A) at a speed allowing for felling of the bamboo 800. When the bamboo 800 felled with the rotary cutting mechanism 140 moves to the upper part of the rotary cutting mechanism 140 by making crawlers 120a, 120b go ahead via lever operation by an operator 900 while the rotary cutting mechanism 140 rotates, the rotary cutting mechanism 140 rotates at a speed allowing for processing the bamboo 800 into chips.
