The present invention relates to enzyme compositions in a dry form and to the use of these enzyme compositions to prepare the enzyme compositions in liquid form which can be sprayed on animal feed. The enzyme compositions comprise one or more water-soluble feed enzymes, a salt of benzoic acid and a weak acid. They are in a dry form which is dissolvable in water to provide the enzyme composition in liquid form. Once dissolved, the liquid enzyme compositions are buffered by the weak acid present in the water soluble powder to a pH of 5 or less so that they are protected against microbiological deterioration by the benzoic acid formed by reaction of the weak acid with the benzoic acid salt.
