<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acid liquid containing Lonicera caerulea L. product which can be used also for salt-repelling persons and has good keeping quality. <；P>；SOLUTION: A solution consisting mainly of an acid in which a specific ingredient is put is prepared and Lonicera caerulea L. is cleaned with the acid solution and further, the plant (fruit, leaf, stem or root) is immersed into the acid liquid. As a result, bacterium in the plant is decreased and a salt is not mainly used and shelf life at a refrigeration temperature and ordinary temperature of the perishable fruit, etc., is enhanced. As necessary, the material is pulled up from the acid solution and then, rapidly frozen and cryopreserved to widen a storage period and use width of the material. Then, as necessary, ordinary temperature storage and flavor of the material are kept or workability is widened by carrying out vacuum-freeze drying of the material. The plant passed through a treating process can be applied to foods, cosmetics, clothing, etc. The fruit has beautiful red color. Malic acid is desirable as an acid, but the acid is not limited to malic acid. The malic acid can be replaced with citric acid. An alcohol may be added to the acid liquid. Rice bran may be applied to the cultivation area. Since the plant treated by application of the rice bran has good growth and gives the fruits having mellow flavor and is strong to insect pests and has strong resistance to diseases, healthy and tasty fruits are harvested. The plant product to which an acid liquid has been added in the treating process has physiologically active effect and antibacterial and antiviral effect. The plant product is preferably used for salt repelling persons, because a salt is not used in order to preserve the plant product.
