PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial soil medium that is capable of preventing scattering and outflow of artificial soil particles and reliably supporting a tall plant or a plant growth body while maintaining a space for plant root growth, the artificial soil medium not being limited in terms of location of use.SOLUTION: This invention relates to an artificial soil medium 100 obtained by agglomerating artificial soil particles 50. The artificial soil medium contains granules 11 having protrusions 10 on the surfaces thereof and a fiber body 1 having a fiber length equal to or greater than the size of the protrusions 10. The granules 11 are obtained by granulating short fibers 2a having a fiber length equal to or smaller than that of the fiber body 1.
