PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of accurately measuring an exercise amount by distinguishing between a constant speed movement and a non-constant speed movement.SOLUTION: An activity meter and an exercise amount calculation device include an acceleration sensor for detecting a body motion of a user, determination means for determining whether the user is moving at a constant speed or at a non-constant speed based on the output of the acceleration sensor, and calculation means for calculating the exercise amount based on the output of the acceleration sensor.
