PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact type tonometer capable of preventing tears scattered from an eye to be examined from flowing into a nozzle, and reducing a burden on a patient by controlling air emitted to the eye to be examined.SOLUTION: In a non-contact type tonometer in which air in a cylinder 215 is compressed by a piston 216 and is sprayed toward an eye to be examined from a nozzle 205, air path changing means consisting of at least one valve 218 and at least one opening 217 opened to the atmosphere is provided between the cylinder 215 and the nozzle 205.
