The present invention relates to an X-ray image generation apparatus capable of decreasing an exposure dose to a user, and a method thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the X-ray image generation apparatus comprises: an X-ray tube generating an X-ray； a collimator passing the X-ray through a multi-slit to irradiate the X-ray to an object； a driving unit vibrating the collimator； a detection unit detecting the X-ray penetrating the object； and an image generation unit generating an X-ray image based on the detected X-ray.본원은 엑스선 영상 생성 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 본원의 일 실시예에 따른 엑스선 영상 생성 장치는, 엑스선을 발생시키는 엑스선관, 상기 엑스선을 다중 슬릿에 투과시켜 피사체를 향해 조사하는 콜리메이터, 상기 콜리메이터를 진동시키는 구동부, 상기 피사체를 투과한 엑스선을 검출하는 검출부 및 검출된 상기 엑스선에 기초하여 엑스선 영상을 생성하는 영상 생성부를 포함할 수 있다.
