PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beverage containing jelly having a flavor component, the retentivity of which in the jelly is excellent.
SOLUTION: The beverage contains jelly having a flavor component such as menthol: wherein the jelly containing the flavor component is coated with water-resistant coating material such as zein. The jelly is excellent in effect to prevent elution of the flavor component to the liquid part of the beverage. The beverage contains such jelly. The beverage enables a consumer to enjoy the taste of the flavor component encapsulated in the jelly by chewing the jelly as well as drinking it, in particular, by chewing the jelly as well as drinking it even after heating the beverage.
