PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants type absorbent article which has excellent air permeability and touch feeling of a nonwoven fabric sheet.SOLUTION: The invention relates to an underpants type absorbent article having: an absorbent body an abdominal side belt member and a back side belt member. The absorbent body comprises a top sheet, a back sheet, and an absorber. The abdominal side belt member and the back side belt member are formed of: an interior nonwoven fabric sheet which is directed to a skin contact surface side an exterior nonwoven fabric sheet which is directed to a non-skin contact surface side and plural stretchable elastic members arranged between the interior nonwoven fabric sheet and the exterior nonwoven fabric sheet. The interior nonwoven fabric sheet is a nonwoven fabric having an irregularity embossment pattern. The interior nonwoven fabric sheet and the stretchable elastic members are configured so that the stretchable elastic members in a stretched state are jointed to a bottom part of the irregularity embossment pattern of the interior nonwoven fabric sheet.
