An anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic antioxidant formulation for treatment of hepatic oxidative stress and cirrhosis is disclosed. The antioxidant formulation can further include at least one of a hepatitis C virus-specific or a non-alcoholic steatohepatitis-specific formulation comprising one or more compounds to retard the progression of liver fibrosis and possibly reverse an established fibrosis. Methods of treatment or therapies for treating chronic liver disease and chronic hepatitis are also provided.La présente invention concerne une préparation antioxydante anti-inflammatoire et anti-fibrotique permettant de traiter un stress oxydatif hépatique et une cirrhose. La préparation antioxydante peut également contenir une préparation spécifique au virus de l’hépatite C et/ou une préparation spécifique à une stéatohépatite non alcoolique renfermant au moins un composé permettant de freiner la progression d’une fibrose hépatique et, éventuellement, inverser une fibrose établie. L’invention a également trait à des méthodes de traitement ou des thérapies permettant de traiter une maladie hépatique chronique et des hépatites chroniques.
