The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising trimebutine as an active ingredient for prevention or treatment of cancer. Comme la composition pharmaceutique selon l'invention présente un excellent effet d'inhibition sélective de la croissance et de la prolifération de cellules souches cancéreuses, celle-ci peut supprimer la récurrence, la métastase et l'évolution du cancer même lorsqu'elle est utilisée seule.
