PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanner capable of reducing the diameter of a tip of a scanner regardless of a size of a built-in part and consequently reducing a diameter of a tip of an endoscope.SOLUTION: A confocal scanner of an endoscope includes a cylindrical scanner outer cylinder part, the side surface of which is provided with an opening. A built-in material is stored in the scanner outer cylinder part to project through the opening.
