It is intended to improve the adhesiveness of an absorbent article (1) to the area between legs. An absorbent article (1) to be put on the human body which comprises: the main body (10) consisting of the longitudinal direction and the width direction and the thickness direction being at right angles thereto and an absorber (20) which is to be superimposed on the face in the human body side of the above-described main body (10) in the thickness direction and has a liquid-absorbing material (22) capable of absorbing a liquid wherein the above-described absorber (20) has a part bonded to the above-described main body (10) and another part not bonded thereto concerning the longitudinal direction as described above. In this absorbent article (1), the above-described main body (10) is provided with a rigid element (15) which extends at least from the boundary (10r) between the above-described bonded part and the above-described non-bonded part toward the non-bonded part side concerning the longitudinal direction as described above to thereby elevate the rigidity of the above-described main body (10).
