To provide a hanger stretchable structure of a patient conveying device which can increase a hanging space in which a hanger can move and which is easy to control.A hanger expansion and contraction structure of a patient conveying apparatus includes a base. At one end of the base 1, two supporting rods 2 for opening and closing operations are provided. A moving caster 10 is provided under the two supporting rods 2. At the other end of the base 1, a main rod 3 extends from the bottom to the top. On the top end of the main rod 3, the hanger expansion / contraction structure 4 is pivotally attached correspondingly, and a lifting mechanism 5 is disposed between the main rod 3 and the hanger expansion / contraction structure 4. The lifting mechanism 5 controls the vertical displacement of the hanger expansion / contraction structure 4. The hanger expansion / contraction structure 4 includes a fixing pipe 41.
