Architecture and method for controlling and programming an electromedical apparatus (13), in particular a drug infusion pump, wherein the architecture (11) comprises: a signaling and control unit (15); a displaying and programming unit (17), programmed for displaying a first graph (110) indicative of the temporal variation according to a predetermined time scale of at least one operative parameter (112) of the electromedical apparatus (13), said parameter (112) being associated with the administration therapy with which the electromedical apparatus (13) is programmed to operate and a second graph (114) indicative of a variation of the patient's conditions and/or of an operative parameter of the electromedical apparatus (13) and/or of a control command imparted through the signaling and control unit (15), wherein said first (112) and second (114) graphs are displayed overlapped, whereby the occurrence and the duration of the event associated with the second graph (114) are synchronized with the variation of the first parameter (112) with respect to the time scale.
