<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water absorbing body capable of easily wiping up fine parts of articles mainly in medical field and the like. <；P>；SOLUTION: The water absorbing body is obtained by covering a spherical core 2 having water absorptivity with a sheet 3 having water permeability, tightly tying the middle part of the covered sheet 3 below the core 2 by using a tape 4, and forming a holding part 5 at the surplus lower part.
