PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin solution containing an amine oxide group that is free from a problem of coloring or discoloring with the lapse of time and a resin composition for a hair cosmetic material using it.SOLUTION: The resin solution containing an amine oxide group contains a resin containing the amine oxide group. The resin composition for a hair cosmetic material is prepared using the resin solution containing an amine oxide group. A sample solution prepared from the resin solution containing an amine oxide group consists of 18% by weight of the resin containing an amine oxide group, 10% by weight of water and 72% by weight of ethanol.
