To provide a biometric authentication device capable of both face authentication and iris authentication.SOLUTION: A biometric authentication device includes a projection device 3 for radiating a near infrared optical pattern and an imaging device 5 capable of receiving near infrared light. The projection device 3 can simultaneously or sequentially radiate an optical pattern for acquiring three-dimensional information on a face and an optical pattern for acquiring iris information. Thereby, the three-dimensional information on the face and the iris information can be obtained from an image captured by the imaging device 5.
