PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and sufficiently hold the encoffined remains to an insulating state especially in a funeral hall, or the like, in the summertime, or the like. SOLUTION: The assemblable remains insulating box 1 is constituted so that individual members are preserved in a separated state when unused. When used, a coffin K having the remains housed therein is placed on a bottom panel 14 at first and four side panels 13 are attached to the peripheral edge parts of the bottom panel 14 in a freely separable manner to form a box frame 2 so as to surround the coffin K and the upper lid of the coffin K is detached to cover the box frame 2 with a lid member 3 and cold air is supplied to the internal space 7 of the box frame by a cooling unit 4 arranged to a lid member 3. By this constitution, the remains H in the coffin can be held to a cooled state. The individual members are separated when the coffin K is carried out of the home to detach the coffin K.
