The present invention relates to a novel use of eupatilin as a preventive and therapeutic agent for fibrosis, and more specifically, since it has been newly discovered through the present invention that eupatilin may inhibit epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), the present invention relates to a novel use of eupatilin as a preventive and therapeutic agent for fibrosis using such activity thereof. A pharmaceutical composition provided by the present invention contains eupatilin as an active ingredient, and thus may effectively inhibit EMT activation, and accordingly, may effectively inhibit organ or tissue fibrosis induced by EMT activation. Or, according to a method for preventing or treating fibrosis, according to the present invention, fibrosis may be effectively prevented or treated by means of such activity of eupatilin.La présente invention concerne une nouvelle utilisation de l'eupatiline comme agent de prévention et de traitement contre la fibrose, et plus spécifiquement, étant donné qu'il a été récemment découvert au travers de la présente invention que l'eupatiline pouvait inhiber la transition épithélio-mésenchymateuse (TEM), la présente invention concerne une nouvelle utilisation de l'eupatiline comme agent de prévention et de traitement contre la fibrose via l'utilisation de cette activité de cette dernière.
