PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization and insecticidal device capable of sterilizing air in the surrounding, holding sterilization force and keeping the air as antibacterial air for a long period, and eliminating risk of occurrence of rust and anxiety of influence on human bodies.SOLUTION: A sterilization and insecticidal device comprises: a silver-made anode plate 2 and aluminum-made cathode plate 3 installed in a water tank 1 a power source 4 for supplying current to the silver-made anode plate 2 nad the aluminum-made cathode plate 3 insecticidal component supply means 6 for supplying a water soluble insecticidal component into water in the water tank 1 and emission means 5 for emitting water in the water tank 1 into air in the surrounding.
