PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling transplanting device which can satisfactorily separate a seedbed piece as a separation object from a seedbed and which can transplant the seedbed piece separated such a way, to others, to provide a seedbed piece gripping mechanism provided in the device, and to provide a gripping member provided in the mechanism.SOLUTION: A seedbed piece gripping mechanism 14 provided in a seedling transplanting device 11 which separates a seedbed piece 17, a part of a seedbed 15, from the seedbed 15 to transplant into a planting panel 18 has a plurality of gripping members 20 which is capable of gripping a seedbed piece 17. The seedbed piece 17 can be separated from the seedbed 15 by transferring in the condition of gripping the seedbed piece 17 with the gripping member 20.
