PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transplantation apparatus and a transplantation method in which a moving mechanism that relatively moves seedling holders holding seedling bed pieces being objects to be transplanted and a transplanting panel in which a plurality of holes being transplanting destinations are formed when performing transplantation can be made a simple constitution.SOLUTION: A transplantation apparatus comprises: seedling holders 14 which are capable of holding a plurality of seedling bed pieces in a row state； a transplanting panel 12 on which a plurality of holes 18 are arrayed in a width direction Y and a depth direction X crossing each other with a gap between them within a horizontal plane； a seedling holder support part 15 which supports the plurality of seedling holders 14 at an upper position of the transplanting panel 12 such that a row direction of the plurality of seedling bed pieces held by the seedling holders 14 at positions with a gap corresponding to a gap YP in a width direction becomes a horizontal posture in a mode along a depth direction； transplantation hands which transplant the seedling bed pieces by vertically moving while sandwiching the seedling bed pieces at a position where one seedling bed piece held by the seedling holder corresponds to one hole 18 in the transplanting panel 12 in a vertical direction； and a moving mechanism 17 which relatively moves the transplanting panel 12 and the seedling holder 14 in a depth direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT【課題】移植対象となる苗床片を保持する苗ホルダと移植先となる複数の穴が形成された定植パネルとを移植時に相対移動させる移動機構を簡単な構成にできる移植装置及び移植方法を提供する。【解決手段】複数の苗床片を一列状態にして保持可能な苗ホルダ１４と、複数の穴１８が水平面内で互いに交差する幅方向Ｙ及び奥行方向Ｘに間隔をおいて並ぶ定植パネル１２と、複数の苗ホルダ１４を、幅方向での間隔ＹＰと対応した間隔をおいた位置で苗ホルダ１４に保持される複数の苗床片の列方向が奥行方向に沿う態様で水平な姿勢となるように、定植パネル１２の上方位置で支持する苗ホルダ支持部１５と、苗ホルダに保持されている１つの苗床片と定植パネル１２における１つの穴１８と上下方向で対応する位置で苗床片を挟持しつつ上下移動して苗床片を移植する移植ハンドと、定植パネル１２と苗ホルダ１４とを奥行方向で相対移動させる移動機構１７と、を備える移植装置。【選択図】図５
