PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling transplanter with which single-row planting is facilitated while carrying out multiple-row planting, the whole seedling holders are used even in single-row planting, a seedling supply operation is performed on the safe side and operation efficiency is improved. SOLUTION: A seedling supply apparatus 42 is equipped with a plurality of the seedling holders 45 which have cylindrical bodies opening up and down and bottom lids for opening and closing the opening parts of the downsides of the cylindrical bodies and are mutually connected in a loop state, a seedling holder moving mechanism for peripherally rotating the seedling holders 45 in a state to pass above seedling planting bodies 4 and 4 in a noncircular loop movement locus when a machine body is viewed in a plane, a bottom lid opening mechanism for opening the bottom lids of the seedling holders 45 at the upper positions of the seedling planting bodies 4 and 4 and a movement speed change means CV for the seedling holders with which a peripheral movement speed of the seedling holders 45 is reduced to one-to planting row number from a time during multiple-row planting.
