fruit growing is essential for the economic sector of a country, however some pests cause damage to crops of great importance, resulting in the fruit being unfeasible for fresh consumption and industrialization. among these pests, the species a. obliqua stands out for being considered economically as one of the most problematic tefritids in south america, due to its adaptability and polyphagia. thus, the present study aimed to identify the attractive formulations for females of a. oblique from volatile compounds released by guava fruit. the results obtained showed that four compounds caused depolarization in the antennas: pinene, ß-karyophylene, ß-myrcene and ethyl butyrate. in the bioassays, all the individual formulations were attractive, with emphasis on the formulation containing the compound ß-karyophylene and ß-pinene which elicited greater attraction in females when compared to other treatments. Regarding the formulations of the six mixtures tested, only mixtures m1, m2, m3, m4 and m5 were as attractive as the fruit extract, except for m6, which was less attractive than the control. the results of this research demonstrate that the tested formulations are promising for use in olfactory baits used to monitor and capture this insect pest in infested orchards.a fruticultura é essencial para o setor econômico de um país, entretanto algumas pragas causam prejuízos em culturas de grande importância, resultando na inviabilidade dos frutos para o consumo in natura e industrialização. dentre estas pragas, a espécie a. obliqua destaca-se por ser considerada economicamente como um dos tefritídeos mais problemáticos na américa do sul, devido a sua capacidade de adaptação e polifagia. deste modo, o presente estudo objetivou identificar as formulações atrativas para fêmeas de a. obliqua a partir dos compostos voláteis liberados pelo fruto de goiaba. os resultados obtidos demonstraram que quatro compostos provocaram despolarização nas antenas: pineno, ß-cariofileno, ß-mirce
