An assisting machine for knitting floating objects and net cords together comprises a machine table, a knitting apparatus and a sliding apparatus disposed on the machine table, and a clamping apparatus disposed on the sliding apparatus. While processing, a floating object and two net cords are placed on a sliding base of the sliding apparatus for allowing the clamping apparatus to tensely press the floating object flat, accordingly, a knitting needle of the knitting apparatus can thread through the floating object. Simultaneously, the reciprocation action of the sliding base allows the net cords to be positioned on both sides of the floating object. Therefore, the net cords can be tied on the floating object quickly, whereby the processing efficiency and the knitting quality of the assisting machine are both improved.
