The present invention generally relates to the technical field of medicine, in particular to the field of neurodegenerative, neurological and protein misfolding disorders such as amyloidosis. By establishing a role of ankG in APP processing the method of the present invention provides a new insight into the the role of ankG in AD pathology and provides ankG as a target, drug, diagnostic agent and particularly as a vaccine in the treatment and diagnosis of the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease (AD).La présente invention concerne généralement le domaine technique de la médecine, notamment le domaine des troubles neurodégénératifs, neurologiques et de mauvais repliement des protéines tels que l'amyloïdose. En établissant un rôle de l'ankG dans le processus de l'APP, le procédé de la présente invention offre un nouveau regard sur le rôle de l'ankG dans la pathologie de la MD et propose l'ankG en tant que cible, médicament, agent de diagnostic et notamment en tant que vaccin dans le traitement et le diagnostic de la pathogenèse de la maladie d'Alzheimer (MD).
