The present invention relates to a novel cyclic compound containing two types of metal, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the same as an active component for preventing or treating cancers. According to the present invention, hetero-bimetallic metallacycles (HBMCs) suppress apoptosis of T98G (brain tumor), KB (head and neck cancer), and SNU-80 (thyroid cancer) cancer cells, and inhibit activation of the cancer cells, thereby exhibiting remarkable anticancer activity. Therefore, the HBMCs of the present invention can be usefully used for preventing or treating cancers.본 발명은 두가지 금속을 포함한 신규 고리화합물 및 이를 유효성분으로 함유하는 암의 예방 또는 치료용 약학 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명에 따른 헤테로-바이메탈 금속고리 화합물(Hetero-Bimetallic Metallacycles； HBMCs)은 T98G (뇌종양), KB (두경부암), SNU-80(갑상선암)의 암세포 사멸을 억제하여, 암세포의 활성을 저해함으로써 뛰어난 항암활성을 나타내는바, 암질환의 예방 또는 치료에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
