PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating element manufacturing method capable of attaining a simple and inexpensive configuration and easily increasing a speed, a sealing die, an excess-water-containing exothermic composition supplier, a heating element manufacturing device using it and a heating element.

SOLUTION: In the heating element manufacturing method, the sealing die, the excess-water-containing exothermic composition supplier, the heating element manufacturing device using it and the heating element, the heating element manufacturing method has essential processes which are the die molding process of using the excess-water-containing exothermic composition whose excess water value is 0.5 to 80 and molding the excess-water-containing exothermic composition into an exothermic composition molded article by a molding die having a die hole, and the sealing process of sealing the peripheral edge part of the exothermic composition molded article clamped by a base material and a cover material by the sealing die having a sealing part and a space part. To the die hole, the space part has such relation that a margin value which is a value for which a margin distance as a distance between the opening shape line of the die hole of the molding die and the opening shape line of the space part of the sealing die corresponding to it is divided by the height of the die hole is 0.1 to 60.
