PURPOSE: A portable crackdown device and control method thereof are provided to prosecute a traffic violated vehicle in a field through an image signal which is obtained by photographing an inquired vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An image photographing module(103) includes a camera and obtains an image of a photographing object. A display module(117) includes a display unit and visually displays data. A key input module(119) processes the external input of a user. A position recognition module(111) is connected to a GPS satellite and adds position information to the photographed image. An image recognition module(105) extracts efficient data from the applied image.
