A data processing method and system based on a key-value pair, which fall within the technical field of data storage. The method comprises: any node in a server cluster receiving a database key command sent by a client; the node calculating a Hash slot corresponding to a key value carried in the database key command, and determining whether same is responsible for the Hash slot; if so, the node executing the database key command; and if not, the node returning prompt information about a moved error to the client, so that the client turns to a correct node in the server cluster according to the prompt information. The present invention can enable an open source database Redis to take the advantage of multiple cores of a processor for concurrent processing, so that the processing performance of a database is improved, and the deployment of database instances can be reduced and the burden of database management is relieved.
