PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nature-derived hair growth tonic having an excellent hair growing effect.SOLUTION: An extract of snow ganoderma lucidum (Arenaria kansuensis Maxim.) has an excellent testosterone-5&alpha-reductase inhibitor behavior, and the hair growth tonic containing the extract has the excellent hair growing effect. An extract which is extracted from a part or the whole grass of a plant body such as a leaf, a flower, a stem or the like of the plant body can be used for the extract of the snow ganoderma lucidum. It is preferable that the extract may be extracted from the whole grass of the plant body.
