PURPOSE: A composition containing extract of Pueraria lobata (Willd.) Ohwi, Rhynchosia Nulubilis, Pleuropterus multflorus, and Ponciri Fructus is provided to suppress 5alpha-reductase and to promote hair growth. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth contains extract of Pueraria lobata (Willd.) Ohwi, Rhynchosia Nulubilis, Pleuropterus multflorus, and Ponciri Fructus in a content of 1-10:1-10:1-10:1-10. The composition is used in the form of powder, liquid phase, or pill. The composition is hot water extract. The composition is obtained by adding 20-120g of Pueraria lobata (Willd.) Ohwi, Rhynchosia Nulubilis, Pleuropterus multflorus, and Ponciri Fructus per 1L of water, and extracting. The dose of active ingredient is 0.001mg/kg/day-2000mg/kg/day.갈근, 서목태, 하수오 및 지실의 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 탈모방지 및 모발생장 촉진용 조성물이 개시된다. 상기 조성물은, 탈모를 유발하는 5α-reductase(5알파-환원효소)를 효과적으로 저해하는 효능이 인정된다.
