PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planter which can make it difficult for the roots of a cultivated plant to reach the inside of the drainage ditch, maintain the drainage property in the ditch for a long period, and prevent root rot, and thereby healthily grow the plants.SOLUTION: A planter 100 is provided with a soil housing part 101. The soil housing part 101 is configured to be provided in such a manner that a side wall 104 stands up around a soil supporting bottom part 102 which supports a soil S in which a plant P is planted, from below. At the center part of the soil supporting bottom part 102, a drainage ditch 110 projecting downwardly in a bottom-provided state while opening in a band shape over between the ends of the soil supporting bottom part 102 opposing each other is formed. The depth D2 of the drainage ditch 110 is formed deeper than the depth D1 of the soil housing part 101.
