[Problem] To provide: a protector which can be removed with one hand and which does not require repositioning of the hands to hold a medical needle when performing a puncture； and a medical needle assembly in which said protector is combined with a medical needle. [Solution] Provided is a protector 1 that is fitted and attached to a medical needle 2 so as to be detachable therefrom.
