PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an osmotic dosage form that has such sufficient film strength as not to be broken by polymeric swelling agents and that exhibits a desired drug release profile.SOLUTION: An osmotic dosage form comprises: (a) a core comprising a biologically active ingredient (b) a semi-permeable membrane covering the core and (c) at least one passageway through the semi-permeable membrane.
