PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fingerprint-inputting device, method and program which can deal with high-speed sweeping of a finger when inputting the fingerprint.SOLUTION: The method includes: searching ridge lines of a crest pattern of a fingerprint in a rectangular 1-frame image from a left end of the lower side toward a right direction, from a right end of the lower side toward a left direction, from a left end of the upper side toward the right, and from a right end of the upper side toward the left, respectively establishing vectors S1 and S2 by setting the points found by these searches to respective starting points and end points establishing points b1 and b2, which have the same X coordinates as respective end points of vectors S1 and S2, on the base of a new 1-frame image contiguous to the preceding 1-frame image establishing extended lines of vectors S1 and S2 by setting these points to respective starting points establishing an area enclosed by the extended lines of vectors S1 and S2, the upper side of the new 1-frame image and the lower side of the new 1-frame image and executing processing of extracting the fingerprint by limiting to this area.COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT【課題】指紋入力で指の高速な掃引に対応すること。【解決手段】短冊状の1フレーム画像の下辺の左端から右方向へ、下辺の右端から左方向へ、上辺の左端から右方向へ、上辺の右端から左方向へ、指紋の紋様である隆線をそれぞれ探索し、これらの探索で発見した点を始点及び終点とするベクトルS1及びS2を設定し、前述の1フレーム画像に連続する新たな1フレーム画像の底辺上にベクトルS1及びS2の各終点とX座標が同一の点であるb’1及びb’2を設定し、これらの点をそれぞれ始点とするベクトルS1及びS2の延長線を設定し、ベクトルS1及びS2の延長線と、新たな1フレーム画像の上辺と、新たな1フレーム画像の下辺とで囲まれる領域を設定し、この領域に限定して指紋抽出処理を行うこと。【選択図】図11
