1446716 Extruding thermosetting plastics A HEGGENSTALLER 29 Oct 1973 [30 Oct 1972] 50249/73 Heading B5A A mixture of particulate vegetable waste material and thermosetting binder is hardened, after extrusion from a conical or wedge shaped die passage into the passage of a tube in which it is cured, the tube comprising longitudinally split parts which are releasably secured together. The waste material may comprise wood sawdust, clippings, shavings, or comminuted parts of flax, hemp, seaweed, bark, or waste from the processing of cane sugar and rice, vegetable shells and peelings. The binder may be a cold setting resin, or may comprise phenolic resin to which an emulsion and accelerator are added and mixed in a weight ratio of 37À5 parts binding agent with 100 parts wood shavings (dry weight).
