An intra-cardiac mapping system is based on locating the ports through which blood flows in or out the heart chambers. For many procedures, such as ablation to cure atrial fibrillation, locating the pulmonary veins and the mitral valve accurately allows to perform a Maze procedure. The location of the ports and valves is based on using the convective cooling effect of the blood flow. The mapping can be performed by a catheter-deployed expandable net or a scanning catheter. The same net or catheter can also perform the ablation procedure.Linvention concerne un système de cartographie intracardiaque consistant à localiser les ouvertures dentrée et de sortie à travers lesquelles le sang circule dans cavités cardiaques. Dans de nombreuses procédures tels que lablation visant à supprimer la fibrillation atriale, la localisation précise des veines pulmonaires et de la valvule mitrale permet de procéder à une intervention selon la technique du labyrinthe (Maze). La position des ouvertures et des valvules est identifiée par lutilisation de leffet de refroidissement par convection du flux sanguin. La cartographie peut être effectuée au moyen dun filet expansible déployé par cathéter ou dun cathéter à balayage. Le même filet expansible ou cathéter peut être utilisé pour la procédure dablation.
