Biocidal formulation capable of impeding the proliferation of microorganisms on surfaces. This invention consists of a product defined as a biocidal gelcoat capable of impeding the proliferation of microorganisms on the surface where it is applied (hereinafter, the "Invention"). The biocidal gelcoat formula is made with resins and copper nanoparticles and can be used in a wide range of applications, particularly to create surfaces with biocidal properties within all types of vehicles. The preferred field of application for the biocidal gelcoat formulation is as a coating for vehicles, such as ambulances, among others.
